Vijay Bahuguna is son of Late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna who was a freedom fighter and eminent politician in India. Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna was also former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Vijay Bahuguna is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He was also a member of the 14th Lok Sabha.

He represented the Tehri Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency of Uttarakhand and is a member of the Indian National Congress political party[1][2].

Vijay Bahuguna's has a sister (Rita Bahuguna who is also a politician. Rita Bahuguna is a Congress leader and current president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee.

Education & early career

Vijay Bahuguna did his bachelors Arts and then LLB from Allahabad University in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He then started working as an advocate in the Allahabad High Court in Allahabad. He later became a Judge[1].
